I want to start an organization which funds the best scientists to help the planet. From what I surmise about the situation, even billions or half a trillion dollars may not clean this up and save the planet. It is worth a try though. It would cost half a trillion dollars to clean up Fukushima and it would take 150 years experts claim. Unlike Chernobyl which was only one full nuclear meltdown, Chernobyl did not make contact with ground water. Fukushima has been making contact with ground water and seeping into the ocean. This will be going on for decades. There is a blackout on this subject. They hate or they are afraid of the truth. People are living in fear. People accuse others of lying when it is true. There were three full nuclear meltdowns at Fukushima. Scientists have confirmed that 40 percent of all insects are gone. These are facts. It could be more. There are many other reasons why we are in decline, but this is the main one. Almost half of the insects are gone and we are next. Is there hope? He speaks about how Fukushima's radioactive waste is or was pouring into the oceans by the mega tons on a yearly basis (he said that it will go on for decades). You can not detect plutonium (gamma rays) and uranium with a Geiger counter. Also, this does not take an education or special intelligence to understand that the planet has been fried and destroyed (or it will be destroyed ) by nuclear fall out. If people have common sense they can be up and arms about this and they can grasp the enormity of the disaster. There is no need for extensive education in nuclear physics, nuclear fission or environmental science to know that this is more than just bad for our environment. This is possibly a mass extinction event. No one knows for sure but it could be the tipping point of no return, due to extensive damage to our eco-systems and our environment on a whole. There has been extensive and mindless bomb testing for decades, dumping of toxic chemicals in the ocean (cor-exit) and other chemicals. The on going use of plastics is killing our environmental. We all have heard of green house gases but nuclear holocaust is what Fukushima should be called. It is a slow kill that has no end in sight. Listen to the experts on this subject like Arnie. The only hope we have to get trillions and billions of dollars to save this planet. Like I said before, even that may not be a remedy because it may be that catastrophic. I do not think that Arnie Gundersen is a fear monger.
