Johnny Rosen's band was based at Lewis's Department Stores in Manchester during the mid-30's and gained enough recognition to be engaged by Decca for two recording sessions in London. This recording was made in the Thames Street studios in the late afternoon of July 3rd, 1935. A polished arrangement with some fine instrumentation and a pleasing vocal from Sam Costa. The autographed postcard of Rosen at the microphone was a recent find and is probably rather scarce given how difficult his records are to come by!
