This song from the M-G-M motion picture \"Chasing Rainbows\" on Brunswick 4709 from December 12, 1929, proved to be something of a mystery. The label credits a vocal chorus and I kept waiting and waiting, but no vocal, but a very peppy arrangement. I found two different takes on YouTube, both with vocals but in each instance in different parts of the tune, one very close to the beginning, followed by numerous solos. I made a comment about this on the video from 78prof and he replied that take G was made without a vocal for the Spanish market and would have received a label number of 41108 in that catalog with the title in Spanish. I guess I could interpret the take number as a \"G\", kind of a \"I-\" mark. I'm thinking mine simply received the incorrect label. Anyway, let's hope my first video of 2021 is prophetic for all of us!
