Hilmer Borgeling (1903-1969) sings with Pewa Derwin and his orchestera the \"oriental\" foxtrot Mata Hari recorded in 1932. Inspiered of the Garbo film, written by Connie Young.I have illustrated it with pictures of Garbo and the real Mata Hari. Since Garbo was Swedish, there was a lot of music, shows and other things, done, inspierd by her. But, this record was never a big hit, so the only version in swedish is this one.But I think it is quite charming. It also says something about the \"orientalism\" who was modern the western countrys and also in Sweden in the late twenties and early therties.
Note that the sound, not just the picture, will be better, if you wiew the clip in high quality. In particular bass will be better. And welcome to watch at my other clip with music from the 78rpm epoch.
