This is a worship album that I recorded in 2009. I'm posting this in honor of Pastor Mark Lakins who passed away. These are his songs, with the exception of \"Raining Down\" by The Tree, and a revamped version of \"Starry Night\" by Don McClean. All rights to those tracks go to those artists. The rest of the songs are Mark's originals. I always loved this record. I got to play guitar and bass , and Mark let me produce it and basically do whatever I wanted on it. It has Johnny Rhoads on drums, Amy Taddi on vocals, Mike Ballard on harmonica, Gina and I do some background vocals, and, of course, Mark sings and plays some guitar. Please give it a listen. Whether you're a follower of Jesus or not is irrelevant. It's a great album and a fun listen. I have nothing but fond memories of it. It certainly won't hurt you!
Gina and I are very shocked and saddened by his passing. Despite the twists and turns of our relationship with Mark, he played an important role in some pivotal moments in our lives. If you were writing a book about Gina and I, there would be a Pastor Mark chapter. And I know one thing for sure.That man loved Jesus! And I know he's happy and smiling sitting at The Savior's feet right now. And I'm thankful for that. And I'm also thankful for the roles we got to play in each other's lives. Rest In Peace Mark.
