Amoeblog Hip Hop History video: Mac Dre interview March 20th 1996 - approx four months before his early August 2nd release (four and half years served) of five year sentence for \"conspiracy\" to commit bank robbery - Mac Dre does rare interview from prison over phone. Recorded March 20th 1996 - almost exactly four years since his initial arrest & incarceration and subsequent sentencing to five years. He was in Fresno County Jail too - and recorded music from both the County and the Pen. This interview was recorded over phone by Billy Jam for both publications and for radio (HipHopSlam Pirate Fuckin Radio).
