It's an album with a story inspired science fiction music. It was made in 3 years in a free time.
There is no film or video game so what 'story inspired' means here? Well, I wrote the music with a specific idea in mind. Then I put all tracks together in an order that can follow the story. I didn't try to make the music too illustrative. I wanted to make some images that I saw when writing the music.
Here's the story, if you want to \"see\" what I meant:
(Light And Darkness 00:01 ) There are many stories about struggle between good and evil, right and wrong, light and darkness. But when two sides collide, both of them fight for what they believe. Although one of them wins in the end, none of the wars has a good ending. And this is a story about one of those wars.
(Silent Hit 03:31 ) In a colony on a distant planet, a special task-force is on a mission to rescue hostage situation.
(Starwalker 05:52 ) After a success, a spaceship called 'Starwalker' arrives to take the soldiers to the capital of the galaxy.
(Memories 07:52 ) Onboard the vessel, two lovers reunite. They share some free time together, remembering old friends.
(Unknown Enemy 10:21 ) In the meantime, an unknown force is making a move to disturb the balance between species.
(To The Centre Of The Galaxy 12:32 ) After a hyperspace jump, 'Starwalker' arrives in the capital, a planet that is a centre of political life in the galaxy. The ship lands in one of the magnificent cities on the surface.
(Hung In The Balance 15:02 ) The war between the politicians doesn't seem to end in the galactic parliament. Even a smallest spark can ignite a war. A skilled general interrupts the argument and presents an evidence of existence of a threat to all spieces. However, it doesn't calm the parliament down.
(Postponed Revenge 18:14 ) Soldiers, who just came from the mission, receive a terrible message about an attack and death of their friends. They swear to avenge their brothers-in-arms when the time comes.
(Dark Alleys 19:40 ) Covert operatives go to the dark alleys of the capital where they are supposed to catch supposed traitors during a secret meeting.
(Chase Through The City 22:13 ) Unfortunately, everything goes wrong and they must apprehend runaways.
(Mystery 25:51) The special task-force goes on a mission to a place in a foreign territory. There they are hoping to find a clue about recent attack and some information about the galactic threat.
(Dark Truth 30:25 ) The soldiers uncover a terrifying truth - a powerful weapon of mass destruction and enemy plans.
(Escape Route 32:00 ) However, the soldiers are compromised. They must run for they lives, trying to escape from the trap.
(Traitors 34:18 ) In safety, everything sums up. The gathered intelligence shows who stands behind the conspiracy. All there is to be done is to inform the command.
(Too Late 36:13 ) Covert operatives, after receiving the data, arrive at the general's apartment and find his dead body. The war is now inevitable.
(Galaxy At War 37:39 ) At the parliament, sides of the conflict can't come to an agreement. This ends with declaration of war. The terrible news spreads through the galaxy.
(War Preparations 40:08 ) An information of enemy's sudden attack on one of the plantes reaches the fleet. Army must prepare immediately to strike and take back their land. All forces gather in one place.
(Light Of the Infinity 42:45 ) Aboard 'Starwalker', lovers meet again. It is a moment of breath before the assault.
(Invasion 45:52 ) The speech of admirals motivates the men as they enter landing pods. After it's finished, the assault begins. The surface of the planet is a large battlezone. Surprised by this attack, the enemy falls back. The first battle is won but it's not the end.
(Ruins 50:46 ) Soldiers walk through a razed city, terrified by the devastation.
(Enemy Within 52:41 ) After several battles, soldiers attack the main base of the enemy. But there they discover that the enemy is also among their friends. The fight is fierce.
(Farewell 57:07 ) There is no way out. To win the battle and tip the scales, a sacrifice has to be made. The last message to the fleet is sent.
(Remembered 59:13 ) After the won battle, ceremony is held to honour the fallen. They will be remembered.
(Circles Of Light 1:01:43 ) But the war is not over and soldiers have to move on.
