SRIDEN - Diaphanous Horizons (full album)

Playing Next: ''Dana Kata Pori'' Full Album Art Track By Singer, Lyricist, Tune & Composer - MAMUN

Diaphanous Horizons, my \"debut\" album (at least my debut in computer assisted music -using Fruity Loops- and digital recording of me playing an instrument), with all the flaws that it implies.

Released in 2011.

Alternates between video-game music style (from 8bit to, let's say, ps1 era) and acoustic guitar improvisations.

All acoustic tracks have been recorded solo and with no track superimposed (except for the 'Fade to Black' cover where I experimented it for the first time).

All tracks composed and arranged by me, except 'Fade to Black' which is a cover from Metallica, and 'Battlefield' which is a cover from the 'Space Harrier' OST.

'Battlefield' is also the only track where I didn't play or place the notes myself, since it comes from a midi track and I just modified the instruments / arrangement. Quite cheap but it sounded cool, so I put it in here.

The titles were in a lot of different languages as a kind of ironic answer to a debate on our forum, about english and japanese titles applied to local french amateur games.

'Kiibuyat' is now part of the 'A?demphia' game soundtrack, and 'La Marche des Espoirs Damn?s' part of the 'La 7e Porte' game soundtrack.

'The Starkest Plains' is a medley of acoustic songs I wrote in my teenage years (when most of my materials back then were electric rock/metal), or at least the few tracks I could remember the tunes from. Lyrics were always about Amerindian point of views and inspirations for some reason, as some kind of leitmotiv in acoustic tracks.

English was rather poor and full of mistakes as I was merely beginning to study it at school.
