I would say this was the album I wanted to have recorded at the age of 20. But in this case, I would not have been mature enough to reach this end result. The second track of the album, \"All about love and loneliness\", for example, was just a lyrics that I had kept since 2007. And when I decided to make the album, I confess that this song gave me a lot of work to get ready, especially the first session of solos, since I do not consider myself a great soloist. But the result pleased me immensely. There is also another song that is from the same era. I wrote \"Hangin 'on you\" back when I was still in the band \"Puro Malte\".
In 2015, when I started my solo career, I began writing most of the songs on the record. They are based on my own life story. Almost all of them are autobiographical, but I was careful not to expose myself or even the people who lived those moments with me, in this case, I'm talking about my family. Let's say I went through muddy waters for a long time in my life. But the record is about overcoming and about going through it.
I always had a strong connection with the blues. But sometimes you have to go elsewhere to talk about more complex things. I really needed to try out new shades and colors. This was my great chance to risk and throw myself into the unknown. I can state that \"My Way Home\" is my safe haven. It's when you go out, bet, win, lose, learn and come home. This is my first album and all the philosophy behind it will permeate my life for a long time.
