I once heard that some of Ray Starita's Sterno records sold less than 100 copies. This must be down to poor distribution and not the content of the recordings.
Here the vocal chorus is provided by none other than Nat Gonella. It's not his type of song, more Sam Browne, but it's the unexpected content such as this that makes Ray Starita's late British recordings all the more interesting.
