The Demo of 2008 featured the first JUNE RAIN ™ songs ever recorded onto a compact disk. Before the release of the 2008 Demo, there only existed a few hundred poorly recorded cassette tapes. Jake Russell, the front man and founder of JUNE RAIN ™ was particularly demanding of the other musicians during this time period, by requiring the other three musicians to attend band practice every night for an entire month, despite the far commute, so they wouldn't waste anyone's time when they finally got into the studio. All their hard work finally payed off when they managed to record every track in only two days. The first day being completely dedicated to recording the percussion in a wooden cabin-style room know for its outstanding acoustics. Three musicians played live in separate soundproof booths where the sound was fed into the headphones of drummer Jon Moody, as the recording equipment was only set to capture his beats specifically. The very next day Jake earned himself the nickname \"One Take Jake,\" as he recorded every one of his parts in only one take. Very much in the same fashion that he records the majority of JUNE RAIN ™ in general. Jake knew the how demanding he was of the other musicians, and as a compromise, he wrote the four songs on the 2008 Demo with radio placement in mind, as to show that the band could be used as a stepping stone for their musical careers if nothing else.This was the reason for the unusual \"pop\" sound, so foreign to that of anything else produced from the band.
