Fish is God is a personal album, and most of these songs are about myself and people close to me. This album is longer than my others, and that's merely because I couldn't bring myself to cut out certain songs I made. I figured, the album will be as long as it will be.
Fish is God has become a motto of sorts for me. It has a lot of meanings, and the phrase is hard to explain to people but I'll try. I love aquatic life, always have, and I always try to reference the sea in my music. Fish are one of my favorite life-forms on this planet and to me, water always brings me happiness. Rivers, Lakes, Oceans, are all things I love but rarely see being someone born and raised in a desert.
I started saying \"Fish is God\" as some ironic, edgy, anti-religious phrase that had no actual meaning. However I soon found myself putting it in my social media bios, and using it as my username on sites. I soon found a connection to this weird phrase, and it started making more and more sense to me.
To me, Fish is God. The ocean, the animals, the movement of the water. To me, that is worth worshiping. The natural movement of the world is what drives me to stay alive.
This album is awfully depressing, and I wrote most of it about the many horrible things happening in my life currently. I use my music as therapy, and I know that the sounds I make are not for everybody, but I appreciate everyone who listens.
From the various artist whose loops and samples helped me create my instrumentals, to the various people who listen and support each new release, I love you all for giving me the ability to vent and let some of this out creatively. Thank you.
