Hey guys, first of all huge shoutout to Quinton Alltop (instagram @ghostshaft) who did an amazing job with the FX work for this video!
This cover is something I wanted to do for a very long time now and I'm really happy about it now that it's finally done. Meshuggah is one of my all time favorite bands, I think in terms of modern metal they are probably my number one, so doing a cover version of one of their songs is just my way of trying to show how much I appreciate these dudes.
Equipment I used:
I started working this cover out by programming the drums using the Get Good Drums \"Invasion\" Kit, which sounds absolutely phenomenal but from the start it was very hard for me to reproduce the sound of the original song, so I tried for another approach and just went with the sounds I liked most but don't necessarily sound like the original.
The bass was programmed with a plugin called Loki Bass, which is a really nice piece of software as well, specially if you don't have an actual Bass yourself (like me haha).
The guitars were recorded with a Line6 Helix LT straight into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
