From the 1979 Discovery album, which I could recite in my sleep, as on our rural high-school bus, this was one of about 5 8-tracks on rotation as we trundled the hour each way to school and back! My only complaint EVER about ELO has been the \"mushiness\" of their recordings - I love the songs, but too often, to my ear, and maybe more so on the Discovery album, the sound seemed to be in a bit of a fog. In this mix, rather than overlay a new drum track (the tempos vary too much, and today I decided I simply didn't have the strength...) I tried just using the expander and the equalizer to bring out the drums, bass, and voices. In my headphones and in my speakers, it sounds clearer, but we'll see how Youtube processes it to hear any difference. Modern covers by House bands exist of this song, but I can't find anyone who has remixed ELO in a newer sound, nor was there an official 12\" single that I know of.
