Let us descend the stairs towards another Dungeon Synth Sunday, and unveil our first of three featured albums this week.
We begin with Slovenian experimental black metal ambient band Snøgg, and an album written for a live performance in 2018, and later recorded in the studio, again as a fully live event, with main band members Ulv and Mørke, with additional noisescapes and shamanism from Azbuka and Diujazver.
The Ritual of the Sun is an album of hypnotic dark ambient, praising the sun and the Maya sun god Kinich Ahau that expands through three phases of intensifying energy, before dissipating back into the ether.
