In 1969 The Doors headlined The Seattle Pop Festival, Led Zeppelin, a new band from England was making it's first tour of the US. Robert Plant was a fan, he had met Jim when they first went to Hollywood, so he and his wife sat up front. This was one of those shows where Jim was confronting the crowd, pushing the envelope. Jimmy did not get it at this point in his career, he was just happy to have the gig being Page's second choice for lead singer, (Steve Marriott) and could not conceive why you would treat your audience that way, forgetting it's the Shaman's journey not the usual destination.
