This has to be my favourite TDG album to date. With the experience behind us and the sound we've developed over the years I really do enjoy listening to this album as if it was a genuine album released by a signed band. We decided to branch out a little and try other genres of rock without letting go of our punk roots. Personally I think we nailed it.
We had a little go at classic heavy metal (even if the first track \"heavy fuckin' metal\" is a bit of a piss take) and even a couple of moody ballads but made sure there was still enough punk on the album for TDG tradition.
You may have noticed this is a double album. This is because originally we didn't really want any more than twelve tracks on a CD like we did on a previous album called \"Humdrum\" which we thought was far too long so in 2014 we managed to write and partly record twelve songs (including a cover) but never got round to completing them. Before we got a chance to finish recording those first twelve songs, we got the bug to carry on writing and already started recording seven new songs. Eventually we put the finishing touches to the first twelve tracks then in 2015 we finished the new tracks too, making the album nineteen tracks long.
The album was now too big.
This is where we decided to make it a double album, putting the original twelve tracks on disc 1 and the rest on disc 2.
Disc 2 seemed a little short compared to disc 1 so with an added cover making it eight tracks long, we crammed in some old bonus stuff too just to fill it up. Hope you like it folks, let us know what you think.
