Here is my 1906 Zonophone Concert Grand Phonograph playing a very early and quite scarce 9-inch etched label Zonophone record entitled, \"Love Me Phoebe, Love Me\" by Mr. Harry MacDonough. I have found plenty of 7-inch Zonophone etched label records in my travels but only about six of these 9-inch etched label Zonophone records. Of the relatively small number of this type that were pressed it seems that only a limited number have survived. This example is probably my best preserved and a favorite to play. The Zonophone Concert Grand (here in the video) with its 9-inch turntable was a perfect match for playing this early recording. I also included some footage of my Columbia Graphophone 20th Century model in the rare fancy cabinet with twisted rope / egg and dart molding and the elusive oversized Daniel Higham friction reproducer. I'm hoping to make a video of this machine in action sometime. Thanks, as always, for stopping in for a visit and I hope you enjoy the video.
