Signals Midwest - Latitudes and Longitudes (Full Album)

Playing Next: Mork - Eremittens Dal (Full album) 2017
Random Page  /  Random Album

Signals Midwest is a punk/indie city of Cleveland, OH, formed in late 2008 as a trio and issued their first full-length album in 2009. In 2010 the band expanded to a quartet with the addition of a second guitar player. That would be a pivotal move in the band’s collaborative development. Experimenting with and expanding their sound, Signals Midwest quickly outgrew the standard pop/punk pace. With 2011’s Latitudes & Longitudes there is a fleshed out maturity that shines through. Recorded mostly live, the album bristles with the kind of energy and purpose that emanates from a band confidently growing comfortable in their own skin.

Currently they have released three splits with bands Shady Ave, (2011) French Exit (2012) and Worchip This! (2013) and five albums: \"Burn the Blueprints\" (2009), \"Latitudes and Longitudes\" (2011), \"Light On The Lake\" (2013), \"Wherever I Might Land\" (2014) and \"At This Age \"(2016).

Members: Maxwell Stern (Vocals, Guitars), Steve Gibson (Drums, Vocals, Trumpet), Loren Shumaker (Bass, Vocals) and Jeff Russell (Guitar)

\"Latitudes and Longitudes\" was published on December 27, 2011 under the label Tiny Engines. Recorded, produced and engineered by Adam Wagner at Bad Racket Recording Studio in Cleveland, OH. And mastered by Mark Trewella at Full Circle Mastering in Philadelphia, PA

\"Latitudes & Longitudes\" is a powerful album full of depth and intelligence. It is an album that hits as deep and as personal as a singer/songwriter record but encompasses so much more. It is about the distance between the living and the dead, between loved ones in different parts of the world, the distance between how people spend their days vs. what they truly want to be doing and the distance between what we say and what we mean. As Thoreau said, “Nothing makes the earth seem so spacious as to have friends at a distance; they make the latitudes and longitudes.” Signals Midwest provides the musical journey that covers the distance and space between us all.

Guests: Joe Quandt (Saxophones on \"The Weight & the Waiting\"), Josh Scott (Trombone on \"The Weight & the Waiting\") and Laine Seliga (Vocals on \"January & Seven\")

(2013) y cinco albumes: \"Burn the Blueprints\" (2009), \"Latitudes and Longitudes\" (2011), \"Light On The Lake\" (2013), \"Wherever I Might Land\" (2014), y \"At This Age\" (2016).
