Emile Carrara & son Ensemble - La Chanson de Nina - Valse (A.Esperza), Pathé ca 1940

NOTE: Emile Carrara's ensemble was one of many so called \"jazz accordion bands\", that were popular in Europe in late 1930s/early 1940s. In Paris, the most notorious was Adolphe Deprince's accordion orchestra, in UK - Primo Scala and Billy Reid's accordion bands. Many accordion virtuoses operated also in Germany, e.g. Albert Vossen or - the most famous of all - Will Glahé. They played swing, dance tunes and most favourably - especially in Paris - java and musette waltzes.
