We open this weeks’ Dungeon Synth Sunday with the nostalgic sounds of Lunar Cult’s latest full length Death Cannot Contain You.



Death Cannot Contain You is a development of the projects’ origins in chiptune, with subtle incorporation of the simmering righteous rage from protagonist SW’s anti-fascist black metal incarnations. The wintery synth ambience is punctuated by haunting melodies picked out by well-rounded tones that carry the ghost of lo-fi 8-bit, without its harshness.



An atmospheric album that well conveys its theme of overcoming defeat and triumphing against oppressive odds.
