The Guardian Battle Theme is one of the best adrenaline rush-type songs I've heard in video games. After 4 years, people are a lot more experience and uh...fearless when it comes to defeating the guardians (seriously, have you seen some of those stylish deaths people are pulling off) but that theme still manages to give the whole event a hint of panic and anxiety. I've wanted to cover the Guardian Battle theme for years now. 1. because it's an amazing song and 2. because I wanted to learn how it was put together. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity gave me the chance to revisit the theme and fuse both of the arrangements together into the cover you see here. I can't say I learned anything from a...language(?) standpoint, but I feel like I have a better feel for putting something chaotic like this together one day. Maybe I'll compose an original in a similar style. OH also random fun fact, but the harmony in the six repeating notes are different in the two games. In Breath of the Wild, it's pretty much the same thing repeated but in Age of Calamity, the lower harmony is constantly changing (in a kind of chromatic pattern). Really goes to show how far they went with making the song both chaotic and coherent at the same time. A truly amazing song from my favorite game of all time. And now Age of Calamity drops today. I'm gonna go play that now. Enjoy my Metal Cover of \"Guardian Battle\" from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity!
