This coming week marks 500 years since Martin Luther bravely challenged many beliefs about God that had remained unquestioned for centuries. He was willing to risk his life to help people to see that God wasn't distant or unapproachable but loving and trustworthy. Martin Luther also loved to write songs! We felt a little more connected to his journey this week by singing one of his songs called 'A Mighty Fortress is Our God' as in it he wrote about the hope he had that gave him the courage to do what he did.
