MAA: A BALLET BY KAIJA SAARIAHO

Presenting excerpts from composer Kaija Saariaho's only ballet, MAA, prior to its US premiere at Miller Theatre. Coproduced by Works & Process, this evocative and dreamlike, but little-known score is performed by the International Contemporary Ensemble and paired with new choreography by Luca Veggetti. Miller Theatre Director Melissa Smey moderates a discussion with Saariaho and Veggetti, and the event is followed by a reception with the artists in the Guggenheim Museum rotunda.
