Track 2 from their fourth album Virgin Killer released in 1976 copyright RCA Records. The album was their first to gain attention outside of Europe. It was very popular in Japan but still wasnt able to generate serious interest in North America. It featured some of their best songs and further defined the heavy sound and style they would become known for. Critics have since praised it as an influential album in the development of heavy metal. The original album cover was one of the most controversial ever created and was designed for maximum shock value. It featured a naked ten year-old girl and several countries demanded an alternate cover be used. Nowadays, the image is considered borderline child porn, and in 2015, a Swedish court ruled that it is illegal child pornography. After a couple of attempts to remove it, the image is still available on Wikipedia, but its banned from YouTube. Written by Klause Meine & Rudolph Schenker and produced by Dieter Dierks. Featuring:
Klause Meine Lead vocals
Ulrich Roth Lead & rhythm guitars & background vocals, lead vocal on Hell-Cat & Polar Nights
Rudolph Schenker Rhythm guitars & background vocals
Francis Buckholz Bass & background vocals
Rudy Lenners Drums & percussion
Wake up man, it's late but not too late
It's six o'clock like every day
Get your things, run and forget the rain
Take power pills, don't miss your train
And you'd (like to be another)
(A different guy and a better lover)
(For your love, for your life check your way)
(And you like the rock 'n' roller)
(A different life and whisky cola)
(But don't be low, keep your own style)
(And catch your train)
Don't be lazy man and work off your ass
He's the boss, you gotta do what he says, ooh, yeah
Catch your train, run and forget those ways
Keep it cool, it's not too late
(And you'd like to be another)
(A different guy and a better lover)
(For your love, for your life check your way)
(And you like the rock 'n' roller)
(A different life and whisky cola)
(But don't be low, keep your own style)
(Catch your train)
And you'd (like to be another)
(A different guy and a better lover)
(For your love, for your life check your way)
(And you like the rock 'n' roller)
(A different life and whisky cola)
(But don't be low, keep your own style)
(And catch your train)
And you'd (like to be another)
(A different guy and a better lover)
(For your love, for your life check your way)
(And you like the rock 'n' roller)
(A different life and whisky cola)
(But don't be low, keep your own style)
(And catch your train)
