This is not a gospel song but the usual humorous social commentary one would expect from Woody.

This song kind of points out some people and situations such as-
Freedom of speech, homelessness, religious hypocrisy- etc.
Personally the "preacher" verse is my favorite. lol
And Leadbelly's guitar is very prominent here. Really stands out.
